Taru J. Haapaniemi - Partner

Master's Degree in Political and Administration Sciences, she also holds and an M.A. in European Studies (College of Europe, Brugge, Belgium) as well as a diploma from the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). Taru holds 10 years of international professional experience, and has studied and worked professionally in 10 different countries. In 1998 Taru started her career at the European Parliament, continued as a Research Assistant in European projects at University of Vaasa (Finland) and as a Project Manager of an EU-project at Vaasa Vocational Institute, to then work at the Brussels Office of the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities. In 2003-2004 Taru held a Senior Adviser position at the Ministry of Interior of Finland (EU budget negotiations). From 2004 to 2007 Taru held a Programme Manager position in the European Commission, being in charge of EU pre-accession investment funds in Slovakia, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Romania. She combines her responsibilities at Global Europe Capital with the academic coordination of the Executive Master in International Business at the University Miguel Hernández (Spain). Taru speaks Finnish, English, French, Swedish and Spanish.

José Fco. Papí - Partner

José creates the firm in 1998. His academic training includes two Master's Degrees from ICADE (Economic and Business Sciences, Law) and a M.Sc. in International Business and Foreign Trade from ESIC. With more than 15 years of professional experience at the international level, in the past he worked for the Directorate-General for Transport of the European Commission, for the Spanish Road Association and for the International Road Federation, where he held the position of Secretary General of the European Road Federation for 11 years and Director General of the International Road Federation for 2 years. José has participated in 17 EU-funded R&D projects, acting as Director in 3 of them, and consulted some 40 organisations worldwide. He also run the European Office of the Dragados Group for 4 years and acted as Co-Director of the European Commission's IPR Helpdesk for 2 years. Today he combines his responsibilities at Global Europe capital with the following positions: Director General of the Spanish Road Technology Platform and Senior Advisor in International Affairs to the DG of the Spanish Road Association. He is also responsible for the academic coordination of the Executive Master in International Business at the University Miguel Hernández (Spain). José speaks Spanish, English and French.
